Are you experiencing unusual electrical problems with your Holden Cruze or having trouble removing the key from the ignition lock? Chances are it’s due to a defective body control module.
At Instant Locksmiths we are able to repair and replace faulty Holden Body Control Modules on site throughout Melbourne.
After receiving many calls from frustrated Holden owners complaining their key has overnight stopped working or is stuck in the ignition barrel. We quickly realised the problem was a hardware fault within the BCM. It was necessary for us to come up with a solution that could be carried out onsite at the car without the customer having to tow it back to the Holden dealership and wait days for it to be repaired.
We found most vehicles with symptoms of a faulty BCM would have trouble with key programming and usually fail during the timed access.
If your Holden Cruze is displaying any of the symptoms below, it would be worth giving us a call.
- Brake lights no longer working
- Unable to unlock the boot
- Key stuck in ignition (Automatic Models)
- Unable to move gear selector from Park (Automatic Models)
- Car doesn’t start and immobiliser light flashes
- Parking sensors no longer working
- Cigarette lighter does not work
- Wiper spray not working
- Indicators not working
- Battery draining (Parasitic drain)
The Body Control Module (BCM) is an electronic control module which coordinates the functions of various electronic accessories on a vehicle. The BCM typically controls functions inside the vehicle such as, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Central Door Locking, Air Conditioning, Immobiliser, Radio, Odometer, Interior and Exterior Lighting, Gauges, Fog Lamps, Wiper Controls, Horn and many more. The BCM does not control any engine related functions.
